Solyanka





The components.

  • Smoked ham, salami, dried sausage, about 5 slices of each.
  • 4-5 Acidified cucumbers.
  • 2 normal carrots.
  • 3 potatoes.
  • Medium onion.
  • Tomato sauce or ketchup ~ 4-5 soup spoons.
  • Sour cream to taste.
  • One slice of lemon.
  • Black olives to taste.

  • Cut the onion into medium pieces.

  • Cut meat and sausages into long strips at least ~3mm thick so that there is room to bite into.

  • Cut the pickled cucumber into medium cubes.

  • Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

  • Cut the potatoes into medium cubes.

  • Boil about 1L of water.

  • Pour oil into the pan and heat.

  • First, fry the onions until they are slightly golden.

  • Add the meat, sausage and fry everything.

  • Then add the cucumber and carrot and fry, stirring well every now and then, until the carrot is orangey.

  • Add tomato sauce or whatever you choose and stir everything well, put the lid on and heat for 3-4 minutes on low heat.

  • Transfer everything from the pan to a pot, add water, and bring to a boil over medium heat.

  • When it starts to bubble, add the potatoes and cook until the potatoes are done.

  • When everything is ready, leave it for 3-4 minutes to let the food calms down.

  • Pour the soup into a bowl and add olives, a slice of lemon and a tablespoon of cream. Done!
